英訳してください！！

外国人のための日本語クラス（現代日本社会の理解）のコース説明なのですが、英語に訳してください。お願いします！日本語の文自体がちょっとわかりにくいかもしれないので、大体でもかまいません。。。

＜現代日本社会の理解＞
現代は情報の多様化による国際化時代であり、過去の日本文化の観点では、現代の日本社会を理解できなくなった。この授業を通じて、新しい日本文化を考えてみることで日本社会を理解するようにする。

Studying the traditional Japanese culture is no longer sufficient to comprehend the Japanese society because the criteria have been so much diversified through the progress of IT (Information Technology). This class will lead you to a better understnading of the subject focusing on the contemporary culture of Japan as well.

冒頭の意味不明瞭の部分は「おそらくこういう事を意図しているだろう」との推察で訳してみました。

Nowaday, there is a very wide diversity of information in japan from the world and it has a great influence on japanese culture and society. Therefore understanding japanese society needs not only the review of japanese old culture but also investigating new generation in japanese society.
We consider new japanese culter for understanding japanese society in our class.
