英文を見て下さい。

こんにちわ。私は日本に来たばかりの外国の人とメールをしていて,
「 昨日はすごい大風だったのに、朝起きてみたら、快晴でびっくりした！」
というメールがきました。それで、「台風一過」について説明をしたいのですが、どなたか英文を見てください。
宜しくお願いいたします。　

台風のあとの晴天の事を日本語で「台風一過」といった決まった言い方があるくらい台風のあとは晴天になる事が多いです。
The probability that it is fine on the following day after a typhoon passed is so high as Japanese has an expressin "fine day after typhoon" for that.

日本人が当たり前で何の不思議も感じないことが、外国人の方からすると、驚いたり不思議だったりするのですね。あなたがどんなことで意外に思うか、とても興味深いです。
Foreign visitors to Japan sometimes feel puzzled or strange about something native Japanese take a matter of common knowledge. I'm very much interested in what things make you feel surprising.

Pobability that...は使えますが、確率との意味合いが強いので、かなりフォーマル・科学的に聞こえてしまいます。

There is a saying in Japanese that roughly translates to "fine day after typhoon passes". This comes from actual experience, as it is very common that you get good weather right after a typhoon.

I know that there are often things taken for granted by a Japanese that are unusual/unexpected/surprising for a person from abroad who visits Japan. I'm interested in finding out the kinds of things in Japan that surprises you.

"Comes calm after storm." 単純にこれ一言で用が足りるのではないでしょうか。

台風一過とは少しずれるかも分かりませんが、昔から言われている「嵐の前の静けさ」によく似ている英語の　"Comes calm after storm"　はよく使われていると子供の時に習いました。　　その時に、日本と英米では前後が全く逆で面白いなと思ったものです。

こんな小さなことでもご参考になれば幸です。
