３）したがって訳は、

have a feeling of unreality非現実の感覚を持つ
have the feeling of luxury贅沢の感覚を味わう
ではなく、同格的に
have a feeling of alienation疎外という感覚を味わう。
have a feeling of unreality非現実という感覚を持つ
have the feeling of luxury贅沢という感覚を味わう
これと同じように
One did not have the feeling of a man present in the room with all his weight and all his mind
feeling=a man present～最後まで
つまり
One did not have the feeling that a man was present in the room with all his weight and all his mind.

the feeling=that以下ということでしょうか。

この２文をどう訳すかという質問だという理解でよろしいですね。

「彼のすることなすことに浮世離れしたものがあった。体と心と（の主張）で、部屋にいますよ、という存在そのものが感じられないような人だった」

多分意味としてはこうなる気がします。人間くささがムンムンとしたジョンソンとの対比で、この世のものとは思われないような超然とした雰囲気を書いたのでしょう。

２つ目の文が「文法的に」難しいですが、話の流れから意味としてはこうなると思いますので、こんな感じで捉えてみました。
(He was) One (who) did not have the feeling of a man present in the room with all his weight and all his mind.

質問の内容が今ひとつ理解できないですが、引用の文の要旨は：

an elusive ...everything he did. he=Kennedy でしょう.
”One 一つは、。。でない”という一例を述べています。
つまりKennedyには、全身全霊で取り組む人の感じが見当たらない。
（一方）Johnsonにはそれがある。そんなKennedyは、ときおり
若い大学教授のようでもあった。どんな教授かの説明が、最初に
one did not have ...と示されたKennedyの一面を比喩的に
述べています。

Kennedy は、一生懸命なのであるがそんな感じがせず、そうなんだけど
気持ちがどこかそれとはすこし離れたところにあることを、Johnson と
対比させ、若い教授になぞらえている文章です。

カリスマ性を表そうとするとこのような英語になるのでしょう。
