一部どのように訳したらいいのか分からないのでアドバイスお願いします。

Most studies have focused on apoB metabolism in the liver, given the greater contribution to the plasma apoB pool made by that organ and the abailability of convenient primary and transformed hepatic cell models.

訳：ほとんどの研究が肝臓でのapoB代謝に着目しており、肝臓で作られる血漿apoBプールと簡便な本来の肝臓細胞モデルと形質転換した肝臓細胞モデルに大きく寄与している。

このように訳してみたのですが、that以下のandがどのように結びついているのかわからず、とりあえず私なりに訳してみました。
どなたかアドバイスをお願いします。

that以下のandの結びつきは、質問者の構文の理解で正しいと思います。
that organ　＝　the liver
given the greater contribution to the plasma apoB pool made by that organ
と
given the greater contribution to the abailability of convenient primary and transformed hepatic cell models
がandで繋がれたこうぶんです。

問題は
Most studies have focused on apoB metabolism in the liver, given the greater contribution　～
の構文の取り方と思うのですが、
Most studies have focused on apoB metabolism in the liver, which is given the greater contribution　
のように質問者は構文を捉えてられるとおもいますが、通常の分詞構文とも考えられるとおもうのですが・・

殆どの研究が注目して来たのは肝臓内でのapoB代謝であるが、それは肝臓で作られた血漿apoBプールと、適度の原発性の形質転換細胞モデルが存在することが大きく寄与しているとの前提でである。

全くのド素人の中途半端な訳です、、、ひょっとすると何かのヒントになるのかなーと、、、決して当てにはしないで下さいね笑)


given ~~~ 「~~を考えると、が有ると仮定して、を前提として」としました。


「convenient primary」 で検索すると医学関係でチラホラ見かけますので、何か特別の訳語が存在するのかも知れません。
