I went to an English conversational school, but I dropped out halfway through the course.

I went to an English-language school, but I dropped out of it.

I took a course in English conversation, but I left it.

Though I went to the English conversation school, I stopped it on the way.

I gave up in midstream though I went to the English conversation school.
