not as yet について

He has not as yet arrived.

この３つの文の違いを教えて下さい。

(not) as yet は言葉だけ追えば as yet = until the present time = まだ今のところ、という意味ですが、来るだろうという positive な含みです。

(not) yet = まだ (来ていない) 、という意味ですが、来るだろうという positive な含みです。

has not arrived = まだ (来ていない) 、という意味です。来るかどうかの期待に関しては中性的です。電車に乗り遅れたかもしれないし。

He has not arrived.
この２文は「まだ」という言葉があるかないか程度のさです。yet は口調の都合で文末が収まりがいいと思います。

He has not as yet arrived.
「今のところは…」という含みがあります。「まもなく」かどうかは前後関係がないと判断できません。

微妙な違いだから、日本語で正確な違いを説明するのは不可能だと思います。

不正確さを承知の上で敢えて訳し分ければ

He has not as yet arrived.
今のところ彼は来ていない。

He has not yet arrived.
彼はまだ来ていない。

He has not arrived.
彼は来ていない。
