openSUSEでパーミッションが変更できない

今日openSUSEを初めて触ったのですが、/datasにマウント(インストーラで設定)したディレクトリにusersグループでも書き込めるようにしたいのですが、パーミッションが変更できません。どうすればいいのでしょうか？

バージョンは13.2のx86_64です。

> /datas ❯❯❯ ls -l
> 合計 22476
> drwxr-xr-x 1 root users 4096 8月 4 20:13 Music
> -rw-r--r-- 1 root users 2763 8月 9 22:41 test.txt
> /datas ❯❯❯ sudo chmod g+w ./ -R
> /datas ❯❯❯ ls -l
> 合計 22476
> drwxr-xr-x 1 root users 4096 8月 4 20:13 Music
> -rw-r--r-- 1 root users 2763 8月 9 22:41 test.txt
> /datas ❯❯❯ sudo su -
> Desktop:~ # cd /datas/
> Desktop:/datas # chmod g+w ./ -R
> Desktop:/datas # ls -l
> total 22476
> drwxr-xr-x 1 root users 4096 Aug 4 20:13 Music

何を意図して

chmod g+w ./ -R
と入力したんでしょうか?

どうでもいいけど datas って違和感あるなぁ. 少なくとも英語では data は複数形 (単数形は datum).
