Here it isn’t clear what to do. The instructor, whether person or machine, is not apt
to a good therapist. Expressing sympathy might or might not be the best or most

Machines that can sense emotions are an emerging new frontier of research,
one that raises as many questions as it addresses, both in how machines might
detect emotions and in how to determine the most appropriate way of responding.
Note that while we struggle to determine how to make machines respond appropriately
to signs of emotions, people aren’t particularly good at it either.


下から４行目、one から addresses まで、
『多くの問題に対処しているのと同じだけ多くの問題を投げかける領域』
ということですか？

そのあと　it で受けている
ということでしょうか？

as as も

the same ... as
such as と同様、as と相関的に用いたものです。

そして前の as によって「同じくらい」の意味がでます。

だからこれも普通の as as と同じです。
ただ意味的に「同じくらい」よりは「あらゆる、〜限り」となるだけのこと。

as as one can で「できる限り」もそうです。

この one と同様、今回も it は raises の主語と同一です。

どんな frontier of research かを表したのが one 以下です。
one は a frontier of research のこと。
as は目的格の関係代名詞的に働き、
それが取り組む、あらゆる問題、
という感じでしょう、as many questions as ～で。

それが取り組むあらゆる問題を提起する frontier of research

it は the class くらいしか、ここでは思い浮かびません。
