そうであるならば、　彼らが次にやることについて、何を考えようが、という中途半端なフレーズになります。

これ、最初はWhatではないですか？　Whateverでは意味をなしません。
もし、What will they think of next?でいいなら
直訳＝「次に彼らは何を考えるのだろう？」
でも実は「それって、すごいこと(考え)じゃないの」という決まり文句なんです。
