make one's play で、

　その人なりに頑張って/効果的に　何かやる事。
　意味的には、何かやる事・・の部分が、in 以降と考えて良いと思います。

fancy は辞書の例をたくさん頭にイメージしてから文意に合う日本語に変えてくださいね。
full は、いっぱい。
fanciful って単語もあるけど、それだと空想的・・が強めに出ちゃう。
それを避けたと考えると、派手とか上等って解釈なのかも・・・です。
