英語一つの文に動詞が二つ。

The student hopes the teacher will not call on him〜
上の文で、動詞が　hopes と will not call on

Sam hopes the girl he likes will give him〜
上の文では動詞が　hopes と　likes will give

があると思ってるのですが、関係詞の省略もないし接続詞もないので、どーゆことなのかわかりません。根本的に勘違いしていると思うのでお願いします。

The student hopes (that) the teacher will not call on him〜

Sam hopes (that) the girl he likes will give him〜
いずれもthatが省略されています。
that以下のことを望むという文ですね。
動詞はhopesです。

Sam hopes (that) the girl (whom) he likes will give him〜
です。
上記の"that"以降は"hope"の目的語節（正しい用語かどうかわかりません。）です。
ちょっとややこしいのは、"he likes"は"the girl"を先行詞とした目的格の関係代名詞節です。
したがって、"will give"の主語はthe girlです。
