昔の学校唱歌「故郷の空」の原曲

　ザ・ドリフターズが歌った「誰かさんと誰かさんが麦畑・・・」（昔の学校唱歌「故郷の空」の原曲の詩（ロバート・バーンズ）とその訳を知りたいのですが。・・・

Comin' Through the Rye というスコットランド民謡ですが、お探しの歌詞は

If a body meet a body, Comin' Thro' the Rye,
If a body kiss a body, Need a body cry?
Every lassie has her laddie, Nane,they say,
ha'e I;
Yet a' the lads they smile on me, When
comin' thro' the Rye.

別な歌詞もあるようで。
O, Jenny's a' weet, poor body,
Jenny's seldom dry:
She draigl't a' her petticoatie,
Comin thro' the rye!

いずれにせよ、子供向きの歌詞ではないので、唱歌にする時に別の作詞をしたのでしょう。あえて翻訳はしません。
