英文の誤りを教えてください

The union director has talked with the company last week, and confirmed that neither the employees nor the union are responsible for any loss caused by poor management of the company. The director also advised that the company considers to make much more efforts to build up a better working environment.
＊Last year, Japan’s Government introduced English into elementary education, as well as asked some universities to offer courses in English. Almost cabinet members were in favor of the idea.
上記の文章で誤りがあったら教えてください。

文構造が良く、分かりやすい文だと思います。

しかし、時制のミス等がありましたので、No.1さんのアドバイス以外の箇所を少し手直ししてみました。

The union director has talked with the company last week,
> has talked → talked

neither the employees nor the union are responsible...
> are → were

Japan’s Government introduced English into elementary education,
> elementary education → its　elementary education

as well as asked some universities...
> as well as asked → as well as asking

Almost cabinet members were...
> Almost cabinet members→ Almost all the cabinet members 又は Most of the cabinet members
