マザーテレサの言葉

「パンへの飢えがあるように、豊かな国にも思いやりや愛情への激しい飢えがあります。」
マザーテレサの言葉ということですが、
英語がわかりません。
勝手に訳すわけにもいかず、原文を捜しているのですが、
どおうにも、見つけられず・・・
こちらの英語力では、捜すにも限界。
どなたか　これに近い英文をご存じでしょうか

There is more hunger in the world for love and appreciation in this world than for bread.

かなり近いんじゃないでしょうか。

マザー・テレサは世界中で似たようなことを言っているので、どの場面で言われたことばをお探しなのかは分かりませんが…

彼女はノーベル平和賞を受賞してから２度ほど来日していますが、１９８１年に来日したときのスピーチを載せておきます。少し頭をかしげたくなる部分も出てきますが、ユーゴスラビア生まれの彼女は英語のネイティヴ・スピーカーではありませんので、下記の英語は文法的な間違いがいくつもあります。しかし、彼女が話したとおりのことばです。参考になりますかどうか。

“…You see we have a wrong idea that only hunger for bread is hunger. There is much greater hunger, and much painful hunger, hunger for love, for a feeling to be wanted, to be somebody to somebody. A feeling being unwanted, unloved, rejected, I think that’s a very, very great hunger and very great poverty. And in a country like Japan and other countries that are rich countries, maybe, maybe nobody dies for a piece of bread, but many die of sheer loneliness. Many die, commit suicide, because they feel rejected, they feel unwanted.”
