In grocery stores, foods are mostly on the shelves in "sell by" date orders. The oldest food is found at the first row.
If you are in the market for foods, choose ones with newer "sell by" dates.

近い表現にSell by (日付)とかBest ifですね。

Grocery stores usually display older food items in front of newer ones.

Always remember to reach out and get newer items (with longer expiration dates).

Foodstuffs are normally displayed in order of freshness in grocery stores.
Be sure to buy a foodstuff with a later expiration date.
(Make sure to check the expiration date when you buy foodstuffs)

前者なら in order of freshness 後者なら in order of old to new とすればいいでしょう。

Foodtuffs are normally displayed in order of freshness in grocery stores.
Be sure to buy a food stuff with a longer expiration date.
(Make sure to check the expiration date when you buy foodstuffs)

などです。

Foods in the supermarket are usually lined up on the rack according to the expiration dates.

When you buy foods, you should buy foods with more days before the expiration dates.
