Now a days marriage is not necessarily a must for women.
※今日では、きちんとした職業を持ち、夫に経済的に依存する必要がない女性が増えているので、結婚は女性にとって必ずしも当たり前のものでなくなってきている。

Now a days the number of woman who works and doesn't need to depend on her husband economically is increasing..
That is why marriage comes to be not necessary to women.

Now a days the number of woman who works and doesn't need to depend on her husband economically is increasing..
That is why marriage comes to be not necessary to women.

１）まず、"Now a days"は1語の副詞です。→"Nowadays"
２）"woman"→"women"、"works"→"work"、"doesn't"→"don't"、"her husband"→"their husbands"
** なぜ複数形にしたかというと、単数形は「１」です。「１」と分かっているのに「数」が増えるわけないのです。
３）"comes to be not necessary"→"comes not to be necessary"

「～するようになる」＝come to ～
「～しないようになる」＝come not to ～
** "comes to be unnecessary"ならいいです。
４）「～にとって必要である」の「～にとって」は"for"と"to"の両方あるのですが、頻度数としては"for"が断然多いです。"to"のあとには動詞の原形がくることが多いです。

More and more women have their own careers and are economically independent of their husbands.
Now a days marriage is not necessarily a must for women.
(S)＝(More and more) women
(V)＝have

(S)＝the number of women (who work and don't need to depend on their husbands economically)
(V)＝is

比較するとテキスト解答の(S)の方が断然短いですよね。英語は(S)はなるべく短くするのが習慣なんです。なぜこういう違いがでてきたのでしょう。

※今日では、「きちんとした職業を持ち、夫に経済的に依存する必要がない女性」が増えているので、結婚は女性にとって必ずしも当たり前のものでなくなってきている。

普通に考えると「・・・」の部分をそのまま主語にします。そうすると(S)が長くなってしまうのです。テキスト解答は「だんだん多くの女性」は自分の仕事をもち自分たちの夫から経済的に独立してきています、となって主語が"more and more women"だけでよくなるのです。今回は主語を短くするために日本語を少し変える技術を学んでみてください。すぐにはできませんから、そうされるよう努力してください。
