下記の日本語を英訳した場合の仮定法について質問です、
『もし空が青くなかったら僕たちは出会わなかっただろう』
これは、
If the sky weren't blue, we wouldn't have met.
あるいは、
If the sky hadn't been blue, we couldn't have met with each other.
どちらの方がより良いのでしょう？

If the sky weren't blue, we wouldn't have met.

こっちのほうがいいです。
空は今も昔も青いから。

そのとき晴れていなかったら、というのなら、
If the sky hadn't been clear, we couldn't have met with each other.
のほうがいいけど。
