This conclusion served to link the "Theogony" to what must have been a distinct poem, the "Catalogues of Women".
This work was divided into four (Suidas says five) books, the last one (or two) of which was known as the "Eoiae" and may have been again a distinct poem: the curious title will be explained presently.

なぜ、mustなのだろうか。

　断片的なのでよく分かりませんが、これだけで見ると著者は何か理由があって『女達の目録』は別個の詩だ、と断定しているのでしょう。

　言い換えれば『テオゴニー』と『女達の目録』は、明瞭に別物だが、「この終わりの部分が」その関連性を示す働きをしている、ということでしょうね。
