技術者の方教えてください．

WindowsXP-Proをインストール中に次のようなメッセージが出て、中断されてしまいます。
対処方法などわかりましたらご教授ください。

（ブルーバックで）

PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer.If this screen apears again, follow these steps:

利用環境は以下のとおり．
現状は
マザーボード　
　　GIGABYTE GA-81PE1000MK
CPU
　　PENTIUM4 2.40C GHz
メモリー
　　バルク品　512MB PC2700-CL2.5　×２
ハードディスク
　　バルク品　ATA120GB HDS722512VLAT?
電源
　　メーカー忘れましたが、Pen4対応　300W
グラフィック
　　GF 去年購入のMXシリーズ。８×対応
その他
　　今はインストールのためにすべてはずしている状態です。

今回のインストールはアップグレードではないです。

私も AthlonXPマシンを新規に作って 0x0000004E エラーで

よく止まりました。
その時は、メモリがバルクだったため、全メモリを交換して
直りました。（1枚1枚チェックしてもよかったのですが面倒
だったので）

現在はサムソン 512MB PC3200 ×2で安定動作しています

メモリを1枚ずつ試してみるか、メーカーメモリを1枚購入して
チェックしてみてはどうでしょうか。

グラフィックカードを外す、オンボードのチップがあれば切り替えてみるなど、最小構成を突き詰めてみるとか。
