どなたかお願いします。
ビジネス英語の参考書に、次の例文がありました。
I would like to talk about the questions and comments from the attendees.

文中にquestions and comments　とありますが、theは（questionsの前に）１つしかありません。

the questions and the commentsとはならないのでしょうか？

（なお、例文はダイアローグから抜粋したものではないので、前後の脈絡はありません）

the [questions and comments] from the attendees

で一括りでいいと思います
どちらも出席した人からのものであれば

the questions and the comments from the attendees も当然OKです
ただ私には
the questions[ , ] and the comments from the attendees と読めます
となれば、the questionsは何を指しているのでしょう? と悩みます

つまり一つ一つ独立したように読めます(読みたくなる)

例文の日本語文（参考書記載）は、
「参加者から頂いた質問とコメントに関してお話しいたします」でした。

確かに言われてみればそのように読めると、思いました。
細かな点が違うだけでも、大きくニュアンスが変わるのだと、勉強になりました。

等位接続詞（and, or, but）は対等な句や節を繋ぐので、繰り返される同じ単語は省略される。

Practical　English　Usageからの抜粋で左が省略後の句または節で矢印の右が省略をしない状態になります。

a knife and fork ⇒　a knife and a fork
these men and women　⇒ these men and these women
ripe apples and pears　⇒ ripe apples and ripe pears
antique or modern furniture　⇒ antique furniture or modern furniture
in France, Germany or Spain　⇒ in France, in Gremany or in Spain
She can read, but can't write.　⇒ She can read, but she can't write.
The Minister likes golf but hates fishing.　⇒ The Minister likes golf but the Minister hates fishing.
We drove, rode, flew and walked across America.　⇒ We drove across America, rode across America, flew across America and walked across America.
She was poor but honest.　⇒ She was poor but she was honest.
The food and the drinks are ready.　⇒ The food are ready and the rinks are ready.
Phil and Sally washed the dishes.　⇒ Phil washed the dishes and Sally washed the dishes.

andで繋がれてるために省略がおきてると考えれば良い。
