I went into the living room and found my brother lying on the sofa, sound asleep.

のsound asleep はどういう構造になっているのでしょうか？ぐっすり眠ってという意味は分かるのですが、どういう文法なのかわかりません。回答よろしくお願いします。

sound が副詞で asleep が形容詞のようですね。

sound - [adv] quietly and deeply
asleep - [adj] in a state of sleep

sound asleep - quietly and deeply in a state of sleep
　静かに深く眠りの状態であること


sound 以下のリンクの sound2 の意味からどうぞ。形容詞と副詞の説明が軽くあります。「良い状態」と言う意味なので名詞の「音」とはまた別の扱いですね。

my brother の様子を①lying on the sofa と②sound asleepと２つ、後置修飾してます。

２つだから、「 ，」で区切ってます。①は見た感じ、②は聞こえた感じですね。

found ( V ) my brother ( O ) の後の、lying on the bed をひとまとめにして

補語 ( O ) とするとして、sound asleep も同様の補語と受け取れば良いでしょう。
on the sofa, でいったん区切っているので、付け足し的に置かれたのでしょう。
and 以下が五文型のパターン、V ( find )+O+C ＝ ～が、、と判る。（、、状態の
～を見出す）であることをご確認下さい。
