課題でこの英語の文章のSVOの分析や()等の括りを出されたため、できるだけ完璧にしたいのですが、自身がないため質問しました。長い文章ですが、どなたか指摘をお願いします。

Scotland was an independent country (until the 18th century).

S=Scotland、V=was、O=an independent country

It has its own legal and education systems and a revived Scottish Parliament (with control over many local matters.)

So when you visit Edinburgh, you feel you are (in a European capital rather )(than a British provincial city.)

Situated dramatically between mountains and sea, the city has a lot of beautiful granite stone buildings,(from the medieval architecture) (of the Castle and the Old Town), to the Georgian streets of the New Town.

A quarter of the buildings are protected (from demolition or alteration) (by law).

S=A~buildings、V=are protected

It is hard (to single any place out -wherever) you walk you will find something interesting.
