これらの英文をどなたか日本語に訳していただけないでしょうか?
できれば解説もお願いします

Too many e-mail messages interfere with real work. We should become aware of the effect e-mail has on us and decide if we really want to spend so many hours on e-mail, instead of on more valuable activities.

2.
Perhaps one of the reasons why so many are attracted to this statue after nearly 1300 years is that it gives people a sense of healing which is much needed in an age of uncertainty.

★real workは現実の仕事であるが、それは日本語では分かりきっているので単に仕事としました。
★become aware of . . . で～を心得る、わきまえる、知るようになるーーという意味です。
★more valuable activitiesはreal workこのこととなります。

メールのメッセージが多く、仕事に差し支えがある。メールの影響力を知っている必要があるとともに、貴重な活動時間にあてる代りに、何時間もメールに時間をほんとうに費やしたいのか、白黒つけるべきである。

2.
★a sense of healingで癒しの感触、癒しの気持ちみたいな意味ですが、とくにsenseを訳出する必要もないと考えました。
★decideを白黒つけると訳してみました。

なぜ1300年近く経ってもそれほどこの像に大勢の人が引かれるのかというと、おそらく理由の１つは、不確かな時代にとりわけ必要な癒しをひとびとに与えてくれるからだろう。

「Eメールで言ってくることが多過ぎて、リアルの仕事に差し障る。Eメールが自分に及ぼす影響に気づいて、もっとやる価値があることより、Eメールなんかに多大な時間を費やしていて本当にいいのか、よく考えるべきだ。」

　ネットにあるもの、ネット経由のものをバーチャルと見做して、直接見て触れるリアルと峻別する考え方の人の主張のようですね。

「おそらく、1300年も前に作られたこの彫像に心惹かれる理由の一つは、今の不確かさの時代においてとりわけ必要とされる、癒される感じがするからだろう。」

　仏像みたいな、落ち着いた感じの彫像なんでしょうね。
