comparable to/with の違い

comparable toとcomparable with
の違いを教えてください。

AのサイズはBのサイズと並べられるくらい大きい

The size of A is comparable with that of B.

The size of A is comparable to that of B.

どちらが正しいですか？
comparable toは、AはBより大きいという意味で
comparable withは、二つのサイズが同じくらいの場合に使われると思ったのですが

comparable withで書いたところ、toに修正されました。

辞書などでも調べてみたのですが
それほど大きな違いはないように思うのですが
同じだと考えて良いのでしょうか？

下記二つの英語辞書記載の通り、全く同じように使われています。

(LONGMAN辞書）
compared to/with something
used when considering the size, quality, or amount of something in relation to something similar
a 20% reduction in burglary compared with last year
Compared to our small flat, Bill’s house seemed like a palace.

(WEBSTER辞書）
compared to or compared with
: in relation to (something else) : measured or judged against (something else)
I'm a slob compared to my roommate.
This rain is nothing compared to what we got yesterday. [=yesterday's rain was worse than today's rain]
Today's quiz was easy compared with the last one.

compare to/with の違いをそのまま引きずっているのだと思います。

comparable toもcomparable withも実質的な違いは無いと理解してOKです。
