・・・the atmosphea outside
でも良いのでは？それとも別の理由ですか？形容詞で使うほうが普通なのですか？
outsideは【名】【形】【前】【副】とあるから用途が広いですね。

でした。さて、最初のoutsideは、
seeing oitside
外を見ること、
なので、seeingにかかっています。外を→見る、と副詞ですね。

２番目のoutsideは、
sencing atmosphere (of)outside
そとの雰囲気を→感じ取る
なので、outsideは、atmosphereにかかって、
外の→空気
となるので、形容詞的に用いられているんだと思います。
それで、the outside atmosphere と、順序をかえましょう、ということなんだと思います。

ONEONEさんの文章ですと、of を入れることで、
sencing atmosphere of outside

と、カンマで区切ったほうがいいですね。
p1ならばq1

という感じの構文になっていますね。（なんか数学みたいですが）

カンマで区切らないとすると、
p1ならば、q1 and p2・・・
となってしまうので、ややこしいでしょう？

The windows of a tea-ceremony room have different function from those of the western style windows.として、西洋の窓とは違った役割をします.としました. また、茶室の窓を主語にすることによって、次の文章のtheyを誤解なくつかえるようになります.

They are not there to see outside but to sense and feel what are happening outside of the room.として、外を見るためにあるものではなく、部屋の外側で何が起っているのかを感じとる(sense and feel)ためにあります.

By seeing the shadows of trees swaying, we can sense the wind breezing through outside, and by recognizing the shadows fading out, we can feel the sun is leaving us.として、強い風を感じてしまうblowingをさけ、やわらかい風のbreesingを使い、sun is leaving usとして、感情的なフィーリングを出すことによって、茶室の観念を、感情（わび／さび）の世界があるんだ、と言う事を出してみました.

幾つか疑問があるけど、茶室をtea ceremony roomと訳すべきか、それともchashitsuと表記し簡単に茶室について説明した方がいいのか？　これは対象にする読者がどの程度日本文化を理解しているかにより変わってくるかな。

原文を読み思ったのは、イントロの文の主語が長過ぎること。またお茶室の窓は複数形でいいのか？　おそらくあの窓のことを指しているのだろ推測されるので複数形でいいと思うけど自信無し。

あと西洋の窓にはない障子について説明しないと、どうして『　茶室の窓は外の光を抑制し、内部に入れることを役割としている　』のかわかりにくいかな。

茶道については英語以外の言語で説明されたサイトがあるので、ネットで検索して茶室について書かれたサイトを読むことも英文の添削に役立つでしょう。

もう少し文章を長くするなら、こんな感じでいかがでしょう。

The windows of a tea ceremony room serve a completely different function compared with those of a European room.
These windows are not there for looking out of, but for indirectly sensing what is happening on the other side.
By observing the shadow of trees swaying, we are able to sense the wind blowing outside, and by seeing shadows fading, we can sense the setting of the sun.
The windows of a tea ceremony room also has the ability to control the way in which sunlight enters the room.

Windows of a tea ceremony room are fundamentally different from ones in Europe.

They are there to let people sence the atmosphere outside, not to let them see outside.

We feel winds through the windows when the shadows of trees sway, and feel sunset when the shadows fade away.

Therefore, those windows have an important role to control how much amount of the sunlight can go through.

茶室の窓にこんな意味合いがあるとは知らなかったことなので勉強になりました！

って感じです。

自分もこのようなことはまったく知らなかったのですが・・・＾＾；
「トリビア」ですが、窓の語源は目戸（めど）で目の扉という意味で、窓から外の世界を見る。という発想のものです。
しかしwindowは[wind]（風）と[ow]（目）がくっついてできた言葉で風の目が外からのぞく所。
という発想のもので日本語とまったく逆の視点なんですね。面白い！

違っている、はdiffer from～を使って、

The windows of a tea-ceremony room differ from the windows of Europe in a purpose basically.
とすれば完璧。
ほかにも、

Basically,the windows of a tea-ceremony room are different from those of an European style in purpose.
などとしてもいいでしょう。

木々が揺れるところは、ダンスをしているように訳してみました。
catch sight ofは、見つける、という意味で覚えておきたい熟語です。
影が薄くなるのは、じょじょに、という感じでgraduallyをつけてみました。
