いろんな言い方ができると思いますね。

How's the new team?
でももちろんOK。ちょっと短すぎる気がするなら
I hope they are doing well.
と付けくわえればよいでしょう。

あとは
How do you like the new team?
とか
What's happening to the new team?
とかもありかと。
