英文和訳

下線部の長さから、おそらく医進模試？か、京大オープン？プレ？あたりの問題だと思うのですが・・・。

whose以下は何にかかってるんでしょうか。eventsかな、と思ったのですが・・。

(ちなみにこの文の前の(１)の訳は何とか仕上がり、地方行政と分子の構造が似ていることを提起しているような文章でした。)


それと、以前予備校講師に添削を受けた際、受動態を能動態に変えて訳すことは大学受験においては減点対象になるから控えるように言われたのですが、そんなルール存在するのでしょうか・・・。
(今回の文だとby a 'echanism'～が該当箇所でしょうか。。)

　しかしながら、・・・ということを認識するために必要なのは、詩的な想像力ではなくて、冷静で慎重な考察である
