being、ー、；、whereの使用方法

下記の英文に、なぜbeing、ー、；、whereが使用されているのかについて教えてください。

・Nuclear power resource has always carried the risk of the air being contaminated and people being exposed to radiation…

・…the honey bee as the symbol of sustainability;though the bee extracts nectar from the flower, the flower is unaffected.....

the risk of ～で「～の恐れ，危険性」

ここに the air is contaminated「大気が汚染される」という文をつなげたいとき，
the risk that the air is contaminated
とする代わりに，of ～ing を用いると，is は being という動名詞に変わります。
そして，the air という主語の部分は動名詞の意味上の主語として，
the air's という所有格か，the air という目的格で表す。
こういう名詞の場合，'s をつけると煩わしいので，the air が普通。

たびたび質問されていますが，the air を後ろから ing が修飾，と分詞的に説明する回答もしばしばみられます。
根っこは同じという部分もありますが，日本人が文法を理解する意味では動名詞の意味上の主語 the air
＋動名詞 being

the air is contaminated という文の名詞化したものが
(of) the air being contaminated とお考えください。

「大気が汚染される危険性」
と
people being exposed to radiation
「人間が放射能にさらされる（危険性）」

このコンマで節が切れる。

それよりも大きな切れ目がセミコロン；です。
ピリオドとコンマの中間くらい。
ピリオドにしてもいいけど，～. Though SV, SV. と切るまでもない。

「エッセイをもっと成熟したものにする（願望）」
どんなふうによくしていくかというと，すなわち，言葉を加えて～

すなわち，という気持ちが―（ダッシュ）です。

where は関係副詞。
「活気に満ちたようなライフスタイル」
日本語ではそのまま後ろからかかりますが，
There is high energy IN THE LIFESTYLE
こういう in の意味合いがないと，先行詞 lifestyle と there is high energy はつながりません。
だから，in which や where を用いる必要があります。
