conventional biomedical training = 現代西洋医学教育 と訳されているようですが、なぜそうなるのかは専門知識がないのでわかりません(なぜなんでしょうか?)

わからないのは、this may help to bridge the attitudinal and communication gaps between these different practices. のロジックです
thisを指すものがわからないし(たぶんtheir trainingなのだと思いますが。aimもdescribe the trainingだと言ってますし)、the attitudinal and communication gapsが何の説明もなくいきなり出てくるので、this may helpということになぜつながるかわからないです

最初のWhileの前の文を見ないと何とも言えないです
