"Tell me why it is to prohibited to carry on the staple food, please."

・main carb→main carbohydrate (主食としての炭水化物) の略です。どちらかと言うと口語的です。
・staple food→主食の意味ですが、どちらかと言うとお堅い表現です (科学的な観点で)

・Tell me please でも
・Please tell me でも
何れでも ok ですが、前者は casual な、後者は formal な感じとなります。

No. 2 では、bring it here にしましたが、bring it in here の方が自然かもしれません。

つまり、次のようにします。

これは私の主食です。持ち込み禁止の理由を教えてください。
This is something I live on. Why can't I bring it in here?
