～だと思っていました。という英文

いつもお世話になっております。
eBayでプラスチックのコップを購入したいと思い、セラーに送料を聞きました。
このセラーはわざわざBUY IT NOWに設定しなおしてくれたりしたのですが…送料が思ったより高かったのでお断りの返事をしたいのですが、うまくいきません。
このコップはとても軽くて、送料は安いと思っていました。私は勝手にそう想像していた、という英文にしたいのですが、添削お願いできませんでしょうか?
I guessed that the cup is very light, and the postage is cheaper.
I give up the idea of purchasing the item.

あと、I am sorry to have troubled you. は、「せっかく出品してくれたのにごめんなさい」としたかったのですが、できなくて「煩わせてごめんなさい」としたのですが、せっかくあなたが～してくれたのにごめんなさい、というような表現は、どうしたらよいでしょうか?
I am sorry that you took the trouble to list the item for me.
としてみたのですが、なんか変ではないでしょうか?

「～だと思っていた」は「I thought that～」でＯＫです。

でも今回の文章の場合は、「～だと予想していた」という意味で使われているので、「I expected that～」が適切かもしれません。

多少アレンジしてこんな感じにしてみました。参考にしてください。

I wasn't expecting the postage fee to be that high because cups are relatively light. It is actually more than my budget. I am sorry but I'd like to cancel the order. Thank you very much for all the troubles.

When I first saw the cup on your web site, it was supposed to
be light and postage must be inexpensive.

But, against my own expectation, it is rather heavy and I
found the postage is expensive.

So I would like to make my bidding cancelled. I am awfully
sorry for this one-sided decision while you were so kind to put
it on 'buy-it-now'category for me.
