何度も申し訳ないです。

間違いを犯したために、下記の文章の意味が理解ができました。
Suidas is confusing the two Artemisias, but he may be right in attributing the poem to about 480 B.C.

Pigresは王妃のArtemisiasの兄弟と思っていました。同様に「スーダ辞典」も同じ解説をしていると思う。作者は、この関係に対して、彼は王妃の兄弟ではなくMausonisの妻でArtemisiasと呼ばれる女性の兄弟である。

スーダ辞典はこれをゴッチャにしていると・・

Suidesは　”PigresはArtemissiasの兄弟だ”というが、そうではない。
”PigresはMausonisの妻Artemisiasとの兄弟である”
と、著者のＥ．whiteはいう。
　　このような理解かと思います。
(2)倒置に関しては、確かにその通りですが、主語を明確に掴めば、
　　必ずしも、倒置なくても、理解できる文章だと思いました。

Be動詞を省略した倒置文を見かけたことがあります。文脈上から読み取れる主語と動詞を省略した倒置文もあります。

　「本当の作者は、『スーダ辞典』（東ローマ帝国で編纂された辞典で、かつては Suidas という人物の編纂したものと思われていた）によると、サラミスの海戦で有名な "マウソニスの妻" ことアルテミシアの兄に当たる、カリア（アナトリアの南西部）のピグレスという人物であるとされている。」

* Suidas という人名を用いて、実は「スーダ辞典」のことを示している。有名な辞典などの場合、編纂者の名前で呼ぶことがある。ここでもそのような使用法であると思われる。つまり、書物を「人格化」した扱いをしているわけです。
