分子構文(完了分子構文て言うのかも）の入試問題がわかりません。因みに私は英語は好きで多少は自信もあったので近日中に塾の英語の講師をすることになってます。面接で筆記試験があるとのことで、高校入試の過去問を見ていたら意外と難解な問題が多く、急に自信喪失気味になっています。

ところで質問は：
日本語の部分(長文問題の一部です）：彼女に会って、その国の現実に目を向ける事が出来、（彼女から）物欲にとらわれない生き方を学んだ。

英語の部分：（Meet)her, {I could pay attention to the realities of the country and have learned we should live without desires for material gains}.

{}の部分は日本語の英作で、問題集の回答の答えで納得ですが、（Meet)を適当な形にかえよと言う別の問題で、私は　Having met her,　としたのですが回答は　Meeting her, でした。　私なりに考えても　その国の現実に目を向ける事が出来---－物欲にとらわれない生き方を学んだ。時系列では、彼女に会ったのが学んだより、自制的に以前だったので、やはり Having met とすべきではないですか？

どうしてか納得いくように、教えていただけるとありがたいです。

英語にはずっと触れていますが、学校英語からは何十年と離れており、こんな問題画で出来て、うまく説明できるか不安な気持ちになっています。

私の回答Having met は完了分子構文と呼ぶのですか？違っていればなんというのでしょうか？
わたしは自分の勉強用に使用する良い参考書（中学生用）をご存知に方教えて下さい。それに英語の塾での、教え方のノウハウとかこつのようなものがあれば、あわせてお知らせしてくださると、うれしいです。

質問の文章ですと、説明が難しくなるため、文章を少し変えさせて回答を試みます。

Having known Dr. History, I could pay attention to the realities of the country.

上記文をAsを使って文章を言い換えると
As I had known Dr. History, I could pay attention to the realities of the country.

ですよね。そして

Knowing Dr. History, I could pay attention to the realities of the country.

をAsで書き換えると
As I knew Dr. History, I could pay attention to the realities of the country.

ですから、Having known her も Knowing her　もどちらも正しい。同様に

Having met Dr. History, I could pay attention to the realities of the counrty.
↓
As I had met Dr. History, I could pay attention to the realities of the country.
此処までは時制が理解できる。

As I had met Dr. History, I could pay attention to the realities of the country and have learned we should live without desires for material gains.

As I had met Dr. History, とした場合に have learnedの時制が不自然になると言う事かも。


AS I had met Dr. History, I could pay attention to the realities of the country and learned we should live without desires for mateiral gains.
or
AS I met Dr. History, I could pay attention to the realities of the country and I have learned we should live without desires for material gains.

これは、彼女に会いながら、そういうことが分かっていったということだと思うので、彼女に会った後でと言う意味とはちょっと違うからだと思います。

塾の先生も、～構文とかの名前知らなくても大丈夫です。
