I like math.
I like math the best 　（the の省略可能）.
Math.
等です。

実際の会話では、聞かれたことに直接答えない場合などが
相当ありますので、意味が通じれば答えとして成立します。
Math is the best. はこの文脈でなら使えます。

はい。ただし読む人聞く人の背景によります。知らない人もいます。この略号は、下記のように　PE　とピリオド無しが普通です。
