If you want to get along with other people, avoid saying things that might get them angry.

前半は変えてません。～するのを避ける＝Avoid + 名詞または動名詞
Get 人 形容詞＝人を～の状態Angryにする
Things that might　何が彼らを怒らせるかは確定ではないのでmightを使いました。


It's often said that abundant experience is more necessary（個人的にはmore importantのほうが相応しいと思いますが）than knowledge in order to become a respected teacher.
It's often said thatを先にもってきます。そして「になるためには」を最後にin order toで表現します。
