英訳おねがいします。

［人間９０歳まで生きる者はまれであると昔から言われているが、私の祖父は来年の３月で９１歳になる。］
問題に「時制に注意するように」とあり、少しとまどっています。よろしくお願いします。

くらいが学校英語では標準かと思いますが、「90まで」とは内容的には「90歳及び
それ以上」ということでしょうから、 90 or longer　にしたほうがいいと思います。　また very few などを使い、

... that very few people live to 90 or longer, but .... will
turn 91 in ...　などどうでしょう。

「時制に注意」とは前半を過去完了形でということなんでしょう（そこを学習中？）。

ところで、最近アメリカでは、例えば「60歳以上」という時に、60 or better といった表現をたまに見かけるようになりました。olderでは「古びた」というイメージがでてよくないということなのでしょう。

時制に注意というのは、現在完了形を使えということでしょう。

"It has always been said that a man rarely lives to 90, but my grandfather will be 91 in march next year."

こんなカンジでどうでしょう。時制ってのはmy grandfather will become の will　あたりのことでしょうかねえ？
よくわかんないですけど...高校の問題とかだったらあんまり深く気にしないでいいと思いますー。
だってあんまりアテにならないですし（笑）
