「猫の恩返し」で…

ジブリの「猫の恩返し」の、英語の字幕がついているものを見たのですが、
ハルがデブ猫「ムタ」の名前を「ブタ」と間違って言ってしまうシーンで、
英語字幕では「Muta」と「Moota」と表記されていました。
この「Moota」とはどういう意味の言葉なんでしょうか？
辞書で調べましたが分かりませんでした…

"curiosity killed the cat", Tama-Neko (aka Ming-Ling)'s weblog version 37からの引用。

「Muta and Baron from Whispers of the Heart are main characters in this story. Personally I thought how the translators dealt with the joke on Muta's name was rather clever. Muta is a very fat cat, and several characters call him (accidentally or on purpose) "Buta" - which means pig. Muta doesn't like that very much, of course.. In the subtitles, they changed that to "Moota" and Muta's response was "You think I'm a cow?" Quite clever indeed, kept the meaning of the phrase and kept how it could be mistaken.」

と言うことで、牛の鳴き声が英語で"moo"なので、それを"Moota"とし、牛みたいな猫って言っていた訳さ。

もちろん、Mootaなんて言葉はないよ。よく考えたもんだ。字幕書いた人に２０点！

英語力の無い自分でもよく分かりました。

確かに、言葉だけのダジャレとかにもきっちりと各国語版の字幕・吹き替えがつけてあるのはすごいなと映画を見るたびに思います。
字幕書く人は本当にすごいですね。
