英訳をお願いします。地震のことを簡潔に伝えたいです

地震後ずっとやりとりしてなかった外国の友達からメールがきました。
簡単に近況を伝えたいので英訳をお願いします。いつもは何とか自分で
がんばるのですが・・・すみませんがよろしくお願いします。

久しぶり！私は元気です、あなたも？
私の住んでいる場所は先月に地震と津波で大変な被害を受けました。
今は普通の生活に戻りつつあります。
あなたが私を忘れずメッセージを送ってくれたのが嬉しいよ！元気になりました、
ありがとう。
時々イラストも描いてるから、またあなたに見てもらえたら嬉しいです。

It's been a long time since we last corresponded. I am fine; you too are well I imagine.
I live in an area that received a heavy damage from the last month's earthquake and tsunami, but we are now steadily recovering back towards a normal life.
Thank you for remembering me; I was very thrilled when I received your message. It cheered me up a lot! Thank you.
I am drawing illustrations now and then, and I would be grateful if you could see them again.

I’m writing to you after a while! I’m fine and hope you are all well?

The place where I live was badly damaged by the quake and Tsunami last month.
We are getting back our usual life as the same as before.
I’m glad to mail me without forgetting me. I get well again.
Thank you for your attention.
I’m happy you will see my picture again, as I sometimes do the drawing.

Last month the part of Japan I live in suffered serious damage in the earthquake and tsunami. But it is regaining its semblance of normalcy.

I am happy that you remembered me and sent me messages. The gave me strength. Thank you for the encouragement.

From time to time I work on illustrations, I will show them for your comments.
