not more...than の文の作り

英語の質問です。以下の文章の作り方・考え方はアリなのでしょうか？自分で書いていて違和感がものすごくあるのは感じています…。「この文章で言いたいことは、こういう表現をする」というのももしあれば教えてくれると嬉しいです。分かりづらい質問かもしれませんが、英文を見て、「これ変」っていうのを教えてください。お願いします。

◆A is not more ～than B AはBほど～ではない
・I swim not more well(good?) than he does.
＝I swim not better than he does.
・I am not more clever than wise.
＝I am more wise than clever.
＝I am wise rather than clever.
・I can not more swim than cook.

◆A is not less～than B　AはBに優るとも劣らず～だ
・I swim not less well(good?) than he does.
＝I swim not worse than he does.
・I am not less wise than clever.
・I can not less swim than cook.

英語のネーティブスピーカーです。

変な日本語でスミマセン。

この文に否定語を使う必要はないからちょっと不自然ですね。
あるいは「more」より「as」が自然になる場合があります。

・I swim not more well(good?) than he does.
＝I swim worse than he does. (「not better」よりも「worse」を使えばもっと自然に聞こえます）
あるいは「He swims better than me」。

・I am not more clever than wise.
＝I am not as clever as I am wise. あるいは「I am wiser than I am clever」
もう一つの例は「I'm not as thirsty as I am hungry.」（喉が渇いたよりお腹が空いた）

・I can not more swim than cook.
こっちはかなり変ですね。
「I can not swim as well as I can cook」ならいいんですが。　（水泳よりも料理の方が得意という意味で）


・I swim not less well(good?) than he does.
＝I swim better than he does.　（上と同じ「not worse」よりも「better」の方が自然です）

・I am not less wise than clever.
こっちも「I am not as clever as I am wise.」にすればいいと思います。

・I can not less swim than cook.
こっちも変ですね。日本語でどういう意味が欲しいでしょうか？
