"to do some doing"の表現について

I feel like I already did some stuying just by taking notes.
ノートに書いただけで勉強した気になる。

上記の文章で、次の表現が使われています。
to do some studying = 勉強するの少しカジュアルな表現となります

上記フレーズはカジュアルの表現ということですが、do some doingという表現はどのような動詞にでもカジュアルの表現として使えるという理解で宜しいでしょうか。

Michael Swan 2016 Practical English Usage [4 ed.] (Oxfor University Press) によれば、

§435.3 do ...ing
We use do in the informal structure do ...ing to talk about activities that take a certain time, or are repeated (for example jobs and hobbies). There is usually a determiner (e.g. the, my, some, much) before the -ing form.
・During the summer I'm going to do some walking and a lot of reading.
・I hate doing the ironing.

Note that the -ing form in this structure is noun-like, and cannot have an object.
(not I'm going to do some watching-TV?)
But do can be used with a compound noun that includes verb + object.
・I want to do some bird-watching this weekend.
・It's time I did some letter-writing.


『ジーニアス英和辞典』（第5版）によれば、
the などを用いず do lecturing などとするのはやや《略式》で「（職業として）講義をする」の意. do some lecturing とすると非常勤の意となる

そうですね。
完全なる動名詞です。
現在分詞ではありません。

「一時的」と言うより、「ちょっと」「多少」って感じでしょうか。
というより、ing に何もつかないのはまれで、the とか some とか a lot of とかそういう語句が付くのが普通です。
