The Kamehameha flies at Piccolo, still shocked that this monster could even perform the attack. Piccolo dodges and ends up above the explosion, looking down on it, amazed. His guard is down and the monster jumps up behind him. The monster wraps his arms and legs around Piccolo, locking him down and preventing escape. Monster, "I've got your life." His tail swings out and hangs in front of the two of them for a moment, then dives straight into Piccolo's arm. Piccolo cries out in pain. "Scream, but it will do you no good. I'm going to get all of your powerful energy." Piccolo continues to struggle and scream, though it doesn't really help him all that much.

"But... Who is Piccolo fighting right now?" Trunks, "Probably that thing that left that shell in the time machine." Kuririn, "How is it that the creature has Goku's, Piccolo's, Vegeta's, Freezer's, and Freezer's father, King Cold's, ki's?" Trunks, "Yes, that's true, but..." Kuririn, "Damn it, what's going on?" Lacking an answer, Trunks remains silent as the pair nears Gingertown.

"Hey, everyone!" Gohan jumps into the room and finds everyone staring grimly at the television screen. He joins them. Reporter, "We've just received a news flash that the West City Army has been dispatched to Gingertown." Gohan, "What? The army?" Reporter, "So the surrounding towns around Gingertown will be protected and their people will be made safe." Roshi, "Hmm. I hope that there will be no more victims." A man hands the reporter a slip of paper. "News flash. We have visual contact of the army entering the town." He sits in silence for several seconds. "So please watch." Several more silent seconds. "It looks like we're experiencing some interference in that area." He looks somewhere off-screen for a moment. "There we go." The picture changes to a woman standing in the ruins of Gingertown. The fuzzy picture pans over to the army entering Gingertown, a fleet of tanks at the front.

In the sky, the monster continues to drain Piccolo's energy. Piccolo continues to scream as he loses more and more energy. The tanks pull up and set their targets. One of the military men announces to the monster, "Hey you! You are now completely surrounded. Just give yourself up!" Monster, "Damn, they're getting in the way of my supper." He fires eye beams down at one of the tanks. The driver jumps out and runs back to hide among the other tanks. "Damn him! Fire, fire!" The tanks let loose a barrage, and the monster is quickly lost among all the smoke and explosions. Missile turrets and tanks pound Piccolo and the monster with all that they can. They finally finish, satisfied. The smoke clears and the monster is no where to be seen. Commander, "Alright." Someone else suddenly screams, "It's still alive!!" The commander spins around. "What?!" Monster, "You bunch of cockroaches." The missile turrets swivel around to the monster's new position and attack again. The monster sticks his arm out and screams, and all of the missiles suddenly stop and fall back to the Earth. The soldiers scurry away, hoping to save at least themselves if they can't save their tanks, too. "A mere distraction. Shall I continue my meal?"

Piccolo's arm begins to whither and shrink up. He screams. Popo drops his watering jug. He stares at the sky in silence for a moment. "Kamisama!" The monster continues draining energy until Piccolo apparently decides that he's had enough. He smacks the monster in the face. The monster drops Piccolo and falls back, clutching his face. Piccolo drops back to the ground, the monster following shortly thereafter. Monster, "You..." Piccolo glares at the monster, holding up his good arm. The other arm hangs limp at his side, whithered and dead.

カメハメ波がピッコロに襲いかかる。この怪物がさらに攻撃できるのに（ピッコロは）ショックを受けた。ピッコロはカメハメ波をよけて、最後には爆発した。それを下に見て、驚いた。怪物の護衛は下がり、怪物はピッコロの背後に飛び上った。怪物は腕と脚をピッコロに巻き付け、動けなくして逃げられないようにした。怪物「お前の命はもらった」（怪物の）尻尾を振り回し、一瞬二人の間にぶら下がった。そしてピッコロの腕に突進した。ピッコロは痛みで悲鳴を上げた。「叫べ！それは容赦なく攻撃する。お前の巨大なエネルギーを吸い尽くしてやる」ピッコロはもがき叫び続けた。何の助けにもならなかったが。

「だけど...いまピッコロと闘っているのは誰ですか？」とトランクス。「多分、タイムマシンに残されたものだと思う」とクリリン。「どうやってあの生き物は悟空やピッコロ、ベジータ、フリーザ、フリーザの父、キングコールド、カイを飲み込んだんだ？」とトランクス。「そう、その通り。だけど」とクリリン。「くそっ、何が起こっているんだ？」答えがないままトランクスは黙り続けた。そのころ、2人組がジンジャータウンに近づきつつあった。

「やあ、みんな」悟飯が部屋に飛び込んでくると、みんなが険しい表情でテレビを見つめていた。悟飯は彼らに加わった。リポーター「ウェストシティの軍隊がジンジャータウンに派遣されたというニュースが、たった今入りました」悟飯「なにっ？軍隊だって？」リポーター「ジンジャータウンの周囲の街は守られるます。人々は安全になるでしょう」ロシ「ううむ、これ以上犠牲者が出なければいいのだが」男がリポーターに紙を渡した。「ニュースです。軍隊が街に入る映像が手に入りました」彼は数秒黙り込んだ。「どうぞご覧ください」もう数秒静かになった。「さあ、どうぞ」映像はジンジャータウンの廃墟に立っている女性に切り替わった。ぼやけた映像は軍隊がジンジャータウンに入るところに振った。先頭は戦車の一団だった。

空中では怪物がピッコロのエネルギーを抜き取っていた。よりいっそうエネルギーを抜き取られる間、ピッコロは叫び続けた。戦車はターゲットに狙いを定めた。兵士の一人が言った。「おいお前、お前は完全に包囲されている。すぐにあきらめろ」怪物「いまいましい、お前ら俺様の夕飯になるんだよ」怪物は戦車の一つにアイビームを発射した。操縦士は飛び出し、逃げて他の戦車の間に身を隠した。「やつをやれ！打て打て！」戦車は弾薬が尽き、怪物はすぐに煙と爆発の中に消えた。彼らの総力を使ってミサイルの砲塔や戦車でピッコロや怪物を砲撃した。最後に彼らは止めて満足した。煙はなくなり、怪物はどこにも見られない。司令官「うまくいった」誰かが突然叫んだ。「まだ生きています！！」「なんだと？！」司令官はあたりを見回した。怪物「お前らゴキブリの束にしてやる」ミサイルの砲塔は怪物のいる場所めがけて再び攻撃した。怪物は腕を突き出して叫ぶ。そして突然ミサイルはすべて止まり、地面に落ちた。兵士たちは慌てて逃げ、少なくとも自分たちの命を守りたいと思った。もし戦車を守れなければ。「まだ食事を続けようか？」ピッコロの腕はしぼみ、縮み始めた。彼は叫ぶ。ポポは水差しを落とす。彼は一瞬静寂の中に空を見つめる。「神様！」怪物はエネルギーの抜き取りを続け、見たところ十分抜き取られるのを決断したようだった。ピッコロは怪物の顔面を叩く。怪物はピッコロを落とし、後ずさりする、ピッコロの顔をつかみながら。ピッコロは再び地面に落ち、怪物は間もなく後を追った。怪物「貴様！」ピッコロはいいほうの腕を抱えながら怪物を睨み付ける。もう一方の腕はだらりと下がり、しぼんで死滅した。
