Is it OK to slurp noodles in Japan?

I've heard before that it's not impolite to slurp noodles in Japan?
Is that real?

No problem except Western food restaurants including Italian rest

Yes, that is true! It's just natural thing to do for us to really taste a

noodle soup dish, and that sounds delicious to us. I think we rather
don't like to see someone eating it without making any noise.
