大企業で義理チョコ大流行の頃、様々な揉め事に巻き込まれ、中間管理職だった私は兎に角迷惑でしたか無かった。

それが最近になって組織の色んな縁が無くなり、バレンタインも子供や孫から面白いものや好きな焼酎等貰うと嬉しい、お返しも気を使わなくていいし、遠縁の子供が就職での面接対応で質問したのに助言した時など、とうに忘れていたのが手作りチョコ等送って来て、「無事内定しました」なんてメモが付いていると、これはもう嬉しい。

古来の中元・歳暮等が意味も薄れて面倒なだけ、というのに比べると西欧発の今風プレゼント（日本流にアレンジ）というのは中々良いものだ、と思っている次第。
