辞書でかなり調べたのですが、わかりません。お願いします。

そのコップの中にジュースが残っていない。(not,juice,any,left,there)を必ず使って、英作の問題で、

There is not left any juice in the cup. と思いました。 でも どうしてもleft の使い方がおかしいように思います。 どうぞよろしくお願いします。

There is no juice in the cup.
は、よく分かりますね。

not any = no なので
=There is not any juice in the cup.
も、分かりますね。

No juice is left in the cup.
も受動態なの
で分かりますね。


1. There is not any juice in the cup.
2. Not any juice is left in the cup.

を一緒にすると、（実際には使わないと思いますが）

3. There is not any juice ( that is ) left in the cup.

すなわち、( that is ) を取りますと、left という過去分詞が形容詞の働きをして

4. There is not any juice left in the cup.（正解）
「カップには残された（残った）ジュースが全然無い」
となりますね。更に、日本語らしく訳すと、

「そのコップの中にジュースが残っていない」となります。

left が形容詞的に使われるので、
There is not any left juice in the cup.

としたい気がしますが、left in the cup の部分が「コップに残された／残った」とうまとまった意味をもっているので、left と in the cup を話して使うことは出来ません。


shinnnosuke さんの書かれた文では、
There is not left .....
となっていますが、残念ながら、there は文の本当の主語ではありませんから、主語＋受け身　形になりません。

Not any/No juice is left in the cup.

なら、文としては完璧に成り立ちます。

ここでいうleftは、leaveの過去分詞です。

is left
で、残されている、という意味になります。

何が残されているか？というと、
any juice
ほどんどないジュース

どこに？というと、
in the cup
カップの中には。

なので、

There is not any juice left in the cup.

となります。

このほか、例文をあげれば

There is plenty of time left.
充分な時間が残っている。


The wound in the arm left in a scar.
腕の傷は、あとを残した。


などがありますね。頑張ってください。

現在分詞が形容詞として働くのはよくご存じだと思います。

同じように過去分詞も形容詞として働きます。

を使うと思うのでなかなか気が付きませんでしたが、、、
