Vine Linux4.1CRをノートパソコンにいれたい・・・

タイトルの通りノートパソコンにVine Linux4.1CRを入れたいのですがどのメーカーのパソコンが動作が良いのですか？大学で使っているのでついていけるように家でもできるようにしたいんです。Linuxに関して全くの初心者です。よろしくお願いします！！

元のコピーはとってませんか。

ドライバの確認をしましたか。

ANo.17で、
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/fglrx_drv.so
サイズ　4,235,735バイト
と書きました。
確認願います。
cd /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers
ls -al
と打ち、確認されたし。
まずこれだけやってください。
これが正しかったら、

/etc/X11/xorg.conf
の全リストを貼り付けてください。
まずここまでやりましょう。

あとこれは、専門的になりますが、
/var/log/Xorg.0.log
のログファイルを見ないと判断できなくなりつつあります。
一度見てもらって、何かエラーらしい記述がないか、
調べていく必要が出てくるかもしれません。
そうなったら、ちょっと私の力では、手に負えなくなると思います。
さらに、vineのインストール自体を疑っていかなくてはなりません。
チップセットを入れるタイミングを正しくして、インストール
しないと、グラフィックモードになっていない場合も疑う必要が
出てきます。
そうなると、最初の古いマシンの方が、楽ですよという
忠告通りになっていきます。
だんだん泥沼に入っていくような状態になりますので、
xorg.confのリストまででしょうね。

Vistaの解像度は、いくらになっていますか。
仮に、1280X1024としておきましょう。

またエラーが出ました・・・
loginの画面でほっておくとまだ青色の画面になりfaild to start the X server . It is likely that it is not set up correctly. Would you like to view the X server output to diagnose the problem?とでます・・・

再起動して、きれいな花の写真が出たら、解像度を見てください。

1280x1024以上出ていますか。
Vistaと比べてどうでしょうか。

の値が書いてないかチェックしてください。
もしなかったら、見つけることができなかったら、
仮の値として下記の値を使ってみてください。
