How to replace an old file with a new file on Web?

I made up a new HTML file to replace the old one on my website. Using FTP, I tried to replacethe files. It did go through with FTP, but actually the old file still exists on the website and a
new file has never appeared on my website. How can I resolve the issue? Does someone
know how to take care of it?

Clear the cache on your browser or use browser on other PC.
