.asfの動画の再生について

昔、携帯で撮影した動画をPCで再生したいのですが、Windows Media Playerで再生できません。
動画の拡張子は.asfです。
Windows Media Playerで再生すると、以下のようなエラーメッセージが出ます。

Windows Media Playerで、再生しないとだめですか?
