at any banks or post offces around the corner of any bigger city

near by the station.

I can give you some TIP for currency exchange.

If you have USD or Euro, exchange in Japan.
If you have others, exchange in your country.
If you don't so, you have to pay much commission or exchange fee.

I don't think currency exchange shops in airports offer very bad rate.
