1) Lockoutはうっかり鍵を中に残したまま外に出てしまい、中に入れなくなる。

オートロックドアの家や、自動車でありがちです。

I was locked out of my car (house).

2) Shutdownは水道や電気など、流れていたものが止められた状態。化学工場などで、事故が起きそうになった時、バルブを閉めて、事故を防ぐ。

The chemical plant was shut down to prevent a blowout.

3) Shoutoutお世話になった方に、公式の席でお礼をする。アカデミー賞で、よく見るやつです。

Lockdownは場所を閉鎖して出入りをなくすことです。新型コロナが始まるまでは、学校で銃犯罪が起きた場合、即座に学校をLockdownしておりましたが、それが、そのまま、都市封鎖として使われるようになりました。

四十数年前、学生運動が過激だった時代に大学がロックアウトされたと言っておりましたが、あれは英米人が聞いたら、大学が鍵を忘れて開門できないという意味になってしまうのですね！
