この上のものが正しいです。change a train なら、一台の列車の形などを変化させる、みたいな意味合いになります。たとえばその一台の列車をバスみたいな形に変えたり、車輪をトレーラーの車輪と交換したりして、変えてしまうわけです。

change trains というと、一つの train を降りて別の train に乗り移るという意味になるのです。

新橋を過ぎていた場合は

At Shinagawa Station,
please transfer to the Yokosuka Line bound for Yokohama/Yokosuka.

「品川駅」で「横須賀線」に乗り換えるよう案内すれば十分でしょう。
「横浜・横須賀方面行き」は念のため。

「青い電車」というと京浜東北・根岸線に乗るかもしれない。大船までしか行けない。

上のように言っても通じますが、もっと正しい英語を使いたければ、次のように言います。

You can get off the train at the next station and take a blue train on the opposite side of the platform.
